Project Description

GEOfood is an international brand that was developed by Magma UNESCO Global Geopark in Norway. In 2021, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark joined this sustainable food program and quickly got 9 producers to come on board with the label. As the communications officer for the Geopark it is my duty to communicate the GEOfood stories of these producers through various media sources.

Below is some of the material I have developed for GEOfood so far.

GEOfood Producer video

The video below is of the GEOfood Beetroot Chutney which is produced by Cathleen Connole of  Burren Fine Wine & Food. Cathleen sources the beets for her delicious recipe from the Monk family farm which is near her business in Ballyvaughan. It was a pleasure to capture this video and witness the tranquillity of her production process in such an idyllic part of the Burren in County Clare. I prepared, shot and edited this video. My colleague Julie Carr was with me on the day to co-produce the piece.

GEOfood brand assets and signage for events

We have been actively promoting GEOfood throughout County Clare. I have designed a variety of branded events assets to help us to stand out at these events.

GEOfood Website Content

Before launching GEOfood, I created webpages and profiles for GEOfood and the GEOfood producers. The content shows how GEOfood promotes local producers and suppliers and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. I also created a Google Map in MyMaps to highlight where each producer is in the Geopark.
