The marketing objective in Tony Clarke School Books centred around the convenience of their school book ordering service. One of the approaches I took to execute this strategy was to arrange pop up shop locations around Munster. I wanted to facilitate working parents of school children by bringing the school book service to their workplace. I arranged dates for the pop-up shops with the HR departments in each company. The ordering system was straightforward. I set up a table with an area of the premises that saw heavy footfall. I had a selection of items that I sold on the day but I was primarily taking in school lists, noting any specific requirements for each list, and giving the customer a duplicate order slip. At the end of each pop-up shop day, the school lists were brought back to the store where each order was picked, paid for over the phone and shipped out to the workplace of the customer. The service was convenient for the customer as it was integrated with their daily work routine.
Below are the posters I designed for which were printed and advertised by the HR department in each company in the weeks leading up to the event.
