Project Description
Campaign Description
For our digital marketing module in the MSc in Marketing Consumption & Society, we were required to create a podcast and YouTube channel containing with 6 episodes on each platform. As a group we decided to base our content on movies, picking a different topic everyweek and discussing it. The objective for the assignment was to promote the podcast across the most suitable and efficient social media platforms.
The podcast was intended to be an audio version of the video. The project had to work across various media therefore visuals were only used as a reference point and were not essential to understand the content. The platforms we chose to upload our podcast onto were Spotify, Apple podcasts and Podbean.
My main task for the project was content creation, editing and publishing the content (i.e. videos, podcasts, animation ads, graphics) and to build the site as a base to hold all of the information about Popcorner Movies and some extra content such as a fun movie quiz and blog posts.
Our aim for the podcast was to keep it conversational and to make the promotion fun and interesting. My approach to doing this was to generate animations and graphics that were relevant to the content in the podcast. The theme for the adventure of a popcorn seed and the trouble that it got itself into.
Campaign Insights
Other members of the group had the duty of developing the social media schedule and posting accordingly. They were very consistent in their approach and the content that they were sharing was interesting and humorous. One of my duties was to analyse the insights of our social channels and to hypothesise a campaign trajectory going forward. I used the insights provided by Spotify, YouTube, Google Analytics and Search Console, Facebook, Instagram, Facebook Pixel and Facebook Ads. This video outlines my results.
